Just Dance

Ella is really into dancing right now.  She has always loved her music.  As long as I can remember her walking, she has gone into her bedroom and turned on her CD player.  Sometimes Dusty and I have to tell her to turn it down in her room!  Today, Ella and my mom began dancing.  Then, because Parker came into her room (she is very worried about him touching her stuff lately), my mom had to hold Parker and Ella just danced by herself.  Later, I was in there putting clothes away and she was telling me to "shake my booty."  Oh boy.  What have we started!?

Last weekend, while we were in Bucklin, my nieces (Damara and Sierra) taught Ella some dance moves.  It was so cute to watch.  All decked out in Papa's t-shirt (I so remember wearing my grandpa's t-shirts as a little girl), Ella stood in between the two older girls and tried to keep up!

My Princess

Last weekend, we spent a wonderful weekend in Bucklin.  The highlight of the weekend was Toonfest in Marceline.  Walt Disney is from that town, so every year they have a celebration.  The little girls dressed up as princesses and rode on a float in the parade.  Ella was all decked out in her princess dress, tiara, and wand.  She sat real still as the parade moved up and down the streets.  There were women on the float helping out and they were dressed as princesses, too.  It was too cute.  The boys could dress up as pirates and ride on their own float, too.  Parker might get to do that next year!

Then, there was a tea party for the princesses.  It was adorable!

The girls were able to make their own hats.
They also had craft booths, games, bounce toys, and carnival food.  Mema was able to do some Christmas shopping...for bows, of course.  :)

My new toy

This post is not about a new toy for Ella or for Parker...it is about a new toy for me!  Dusty surprised me with an early birthday gift.  I had mentioned wanting a really nice camera, but I wasn't thinking this year.  However, he asked our good friend, Greta, for some tips on cameras and decided to give me an awesome birthday present!  I was shocked!  It is simply awesome.  Well, not so simple...it is going to take me a while to figure out how to use everything.

For Christmas, I am asking for my own little scrapbooking area in our basement.  He is going to build a scrapbooking table...I will be able to leave my supplies out so when I have extra time (Ha!), I will be able to head down there and get some work done on my scrapbooks.  I'm hoping he decides to make it an early Christmas present as well! :)

Here are some pictures that I have taken with my new camera!  Thank you, Dusty!!

Ella had just returned from her stay in St. Louis...they were sure glad to see each other again!

Ella was very happy to see Wilbur, too!

Parker keeps us on our toes pulling up to everything and having no fear!

Ella is home!  She loves to put her babies all over the house and line them up on the couch.

Uncle Bobby, Aunt Traci, and Cousin Madalyn came over for a bbq.  Uncle Bobby and Parker were having fun making noises at each other.  By the way, I have to brag on my hubby.  He cooked the whole meal...bbq ribs, homemade coleslaw, homemade baked beans, potatoes & corn on the cob on the grill, and rolls.  It was all delish!  He's a keeper, don't you think? :)

Madalyn and Ella had fun playing on the swingset.

I love watching them play.

Ella likes to hold Wilbur's leash on our walks...luckily he weighs under 10 pounds!
